We all know the bad rap that the Pharisees earned for themselves, and deservedly so. But it is actually the Sadducees who cause most of the antagonist issues for the disciples in the book of Acts. As wealthy and influential as they were, they were equally opposed to anything even slightly resembling the supernatural. So when a former lame man from birth comes before them, leaping, jumping, and praising the Lord… you get the picture. But not to fear, as we see two ordinary fishermen take care of business in Holy Spirit fashion!
